Summary
This role is responsible for building and leading the East Campus Worship Team to foster impactful moments of worship at Journey Church.
Key Results Area #1 - Leadership Development
Recruitment
Skilled worshippers are identified and are connected to an audition within 3 months of attending Journey Church (every quarter).
New team members are efficiently & systematically on-boarded to the team.
Care
Leaders are developed and empowered to build teams and shepherd individuals through an intentional leadership pipeline.
The worship team members feel pastored. They are celebrated and championed in their achievements. They are also guided through crisis, covered in prayer, & follow your Christ-like example.
How success is measured:
80% of team members are leading or attending a small group.
80% Retention of year over year, 20% Growth.
Every layer in the leadership pipeline is appropriately filled as a successful fit.
Key Results Area #2 - Services
Team Preparedness
Team members are trained on how to set up and operate equipment professionally. Team members are also equipped for a successful worship experience through rehearsal systems.
Team members are scheduled ahead and briefed for worship experiences within 4 weeks and Setlists are chosen and scheduled within 4 weeks.
Worship Program and Program Quality
Runsheets are clear and designed to set up every member of the experience for a win.
The quality and selection of our worship songs reflect the mission and vision of the church: “Make Jesus accessible to anyone”. Song selection and engagement is actively evaluated. Feedback is communicated promptly.
The demographics of our local community are intentionally represented on stage when possible.
How success is measured:
100% PCO weekend acceptance by the Wednesday prior to the Weekend Experience.
Adjustments assigned from recap meetings are made within 1 week.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
● Strong leadership skills and a history of team management
● Proven track record of effective time management
● Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
● Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
● Excellent written and grammar skills
● Able to clearly communicate vision decisions to necessary staff and volunteers
● Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online Software
● Ability to learn and use Monday.com task management
