Journey Church exists to make Jesus accessible to anyone. The Central JKids Director provides leadership, vision, and oversight to all Journey Church JKids campuses. This role ensures alignment across campuses, supports and develops campus JKids Directors, and champions a healthy culture that reflects the mission and values of Journey Church
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for building and leading the Production Team to professionally operate the live AVL program at Journey Church while facilitating a high-quality, safe, and distraction-free experience. This role works closely with both the Campus Pastor and Central Production Director to ensure alignment in culture, systems, and excellence.

Curriculum Development & Implementation
Provide leadership and oversight to the Curriculum Director, ensuring alignment with vision, strategy, and execution across all campuses.
● Partner closely with the Curriculum Director to develop, implement, and maintain high-quality, age-appropriate curriculum for all JKids services and events.
● Ensure curriculum is biblically sound, engaging, and aligned with Journey Church mission and values.
● Oversee the execution of ProPresenter slides, print materials, activities, and classroom resources through the Curriculum Director.
● Collaborate with the Curriculum Director to lead curriculum-related video production (recording, editing, distribution).
Success Indicators:
Accurate weekly delivery; strong collaboration with Curriculum Director; high engagement feedback; consistent execution across campuses.
Weekend Experience Ownership
● Own and continuously improve the overall Sunday experience for kids across all campuses.
● Design engaging, age-appropriate environments including flow, transitions, teaching moments, and energy.
● Innovate and refine experiences to remain relevant, engaging, and effective.
Success Indicators: High engagement levels; consistent experience quality; positive feedback from kids, leaders, and parents.
Multi-Campus Alignment & Oversight
● Ensure consistent execution, culture, and curriculum fidelity across all campuses.
● Conduct regular campus visits for observation, evaluation, and coaching.
● Partner with Campus Pastors and JKids Directors to maintain alignment and excellence.
Success Indicators: Improved consistency across campuses; strong campus reporting; measurable alignment.
Leadership Development & Volunteer Pipeline Strategy
Equip and develop Campus JKids Directors to build healthy, high-performing teams.
● Build and maintain a scalable volunteer recruitment pipeline across all campuses.
● Develop a leadership bench (team leads, coaches, future directors).
● Standardize onboarding, training, and leadership development systems.
● Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and skill development.
Success Indicators: Increased volunteer recruitment and retention; leadership pipeline growth; strong team health.
Parent Experience & Communication Strategy
● Develop and execute a comprehensive parent engagement strategy.
● Ensure consistent and excellent first-time family experiences.
● Create communication rhythms that build trust and partnership with families.
● Establish systems to gather and act on parent feedback.
Success Indicators: High parent satisfaction; improved guest retention; strong family engagement.
Data & Decision-Making Ownership
● Analyze ministry data (attendance, retention, volunteer metrics, engagement) regularly.
● Lead performance reviews and strategic planning with Campus Directors.
● Use data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
● Drive decision-making that improves ministry effectiveness and scalability.

Operational Excellence & Resource Management
● Ensure all classrooms are fully prepared with supplies, curriculum, and resources
each week.
● Oversee centralized purchasing and ordering systems.
● Manage and steward the JKids annual budget with excellence and accountability.
● Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and resource optimization.
Success Indicators: Budget adherence; operational consistency; minimal last-minute needs.
Digital & Online Ministry Strategy
● Develop a strategy for digital and at-home discipleship content.
● Leverage video and online platforms to extend ministry beyond Sundays.
● Ensure content scalability across campuses and for families.
Success Indicators: Increased engagement beyond Sundays; accessible digital resources for families.
Event Collaboration & Support
● Partner with the JKids Event Coordinator to align curriculum, activities, and
execution.
● Support and strengthen special events through leadership, training, and content.
Success Indicators: Well-executed events; strong volunteer preparedness; seamless integration with curriculum.
Crisis, Safety & Ministry Standards
● Own and enforce all child safety policies and procedures across campuses.
● Ensure compliance with child-to-leader ratios and safety standards.
● Lead incident response protocols and training.
● Conduct regular audits to maintain excellence in safety and care.
Success Indicators: 100% compliance; strong audit results; high parent trust in safety.
Culture, Vision & Ministry Health
● Champion the mission, vision, and culture of Journey Church across all JKids teams.
● Foster a unified, healthy, and life-giving ministry environment.
● Build a culture of excellence, joy, ownership, and spiritual maturity.

● Attendance: 16% of total Sunday attendance are children; headcounts submitted
