Summary

Journey Church is seeking a passionate and organized leader to serve as the Guest Experience Director at our Fern Park Campus. This full-time role is responsible for equipping and developing volunteer Coordinators, cultivating an engaging and God-honoring culture, and ensuring excellence across all hospitality, safety, and guest experience teams—including Parking, Greeters, Connections, Next Steps, Hospitality, and First Aid.

The ideal candidate will be a high-capacity leader who is relational, driven, and aligned with the heart and values of Journey Church. This role plays a key part in creating welcoming environments and guiding guests toward meaningful next steps in their spiritual journey. Purpose of the Job:

● To recruit, equip and develop Fern Park Campus Coordinators in reaching
their full potential. Create location-specific strategies as the team grows to
ensure culture and vision of the Church is preserved.
● To serve Journey Church by playing an instrumental role alongside the
location Coordinators. They do this by executing new processes and
procedures, communicating and keeping the standard, and managing
growth and health of Parking, Connections, Greeters, Safety/First-Aid,
Hospitality, and Next Steps Teams.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

● Ability to recruit, lead and equip high-capacity leaders to lead successfully
● Passion for the Church, Journey’s vision, people, and serving in the
Kingdom
● Organizational, practical and goal-oriented leadership with the ministry
● Pastoral, discerning, and confident in leadership with the staff
● Discretion with confidential matters
● Professional representation of Journey and the Lord in all things
● Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online

● Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and organizational skills
● Ability to work in a multi- task environment
● Strong administrative abilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

● Initiate and cultivate the fun, God-honoring heart and culture of Journey by
influencing Staff, Directors, Coordinators, Team Leads, Dream Team, and
the Church at large
● Ensure Next Steps and Dream Team interface is smooth and effective –
and that people are cared for and given best next steps in their personal
journey
● Keep standards for Next Steps, and Guest Experience teams
● Resource Inventory management with what supplies we are using in
Guest Experience
i. Ensure Fern Park has inventory for their weekend services
● Creates and executes new systems to track and manage team retention
● Coordinate and lead weekly/monthly meetings with Fern Park
Coordinators to ensure vision, challenges, and goals are clearly
communicated and accomplished
● Relationally lead and develop Fern Park Coordinators one-on-one, and as
a family unit in areas of spiritual, personal, professional growth, and
strategies
● Provide solutions and coaching for leaders in handling issues that arise
● Evaluate monthly Dream Team Reports to attest to the effectiveness of
leaders and existing processes (Next Step metrics, and Dream team
retention metrics)
● Monitor growth of the Dream Team in all areas – spiritually, relationally,
and numerically

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

● Actively network with Churches and organizations outside of Journey in
order to gain knowledge, creative solutions, and support – bringing The
Church together
● Participate and serve at all church wide events
● As needed or directed, plan and execute Sunday specific special events
and initiatives that affect all locations. (baptisms, donut walls, kona ice,
etc)
